Principal's Message
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! My name is Alejandra Perez and I am so honored and proud to serve as Principal of Cedar Brook Elementary!
I have been an educator for 18 years and have served in different capacities. I graduated from Texas A&M University in Kingsville, Texas, where I received a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies. In 2015, I received my graduate degree in Educational Administration from the University of St. Thomas.
This school year academic excellence and a culture built on a strong sense of community and collaboration will continue to be our primary areas of focus. We are excited to have your child at Cedar Brook, and we are looking forward to building a partnership with you. At Cedar Brook, we want to continue a culture of high expectations. We believe that all students can and will learn, and we want to do our best to prepare your child for success in middle school, high school, and beyond!
Together, we will work hard to inspire and equip all students with the necessary mindsets, skills, and dispositions needed so they are well prepared for the world they will inherit. I look forward to building strong relationships with parents, students, staff and community members and establishing a community of mutual respect where everyone has a voice. Teaching is one of the most difficult professions; nevertheless, by building an environment that is based on honesty and trust we will be able to provide our students with the best education possible.
